this is it! seriously! Saturday, February 26, 2005 mood:![]() i had my trial with denise go today. the verdict? I LOVE IT!!! ok, i know that's also what i said about barbi chan, but seriously, i think this is it. you can view my pics of the trial here. i love it because: a) i spent 2K for it, so it had better be worth it! b) i like the way my hair was done. it's not as simple as what barbi did, but it didn't have those "worms" that julian did. it's simple, but the rosettes give it that added elegance. c) my face didn't change at all --> and this is most important for me! julian's makeup was beautiful too, but my face changed. d) the make up is light, making me really feel like the virginal bride. e) i love denise! although barbi was kengkoy, denise is super nice. she takes time out to give me additional tips and to explain what would work for me or not. it's just a bummer that i got an allergy attack last thursday, so i have little rashes on my cheeks which show in the pictures. nonetheless, i think her makeup is beautiful. so what do you guys think? yesterday, i finally brought our outer envelopes to lincoln. what a nice man! he's really good at what he does, and at P10 per envelope (not per line), i think it's quite a steal! he also works very fast. we should be able to get our envelopes by wednesday at the latest. you know, i think he's the only man i know who writes well in script. hmmm. well, yes, i do know some guys who write well in script but they turn out to be gay. does that mean lincoln is gay? didn't look to me like he is. what the fuck am i psychoanalyzing lincoln for?!?! sorry. change topic. i had a BIG disappointment with solea yesterday. i was supposed to have had an appointment with the shoe designer at 4pm. i texted her last week to ask if she would be there on friday (yesterday) and she said yes. she even asked what time i would be there, and i told her 4pm. well, when i got there yesterday, she wasn't there. gardemit! the assistant was very helpful naman, but still, she couldn't give me specific answers to my questions. hayy! had this been any other supplier, i wouldn't have given them the time of day anymore. the thing is, i've tried looking for ready-made shoes na, but nothing has caught my fancy. you know i'm very particular about shoes, and these being my wedding shoes, i really want it to be special. i checked out lila as well, but i don't like her designs. i find them too old fashioned, too traditional. i also don't like their heels. it's too stubby. i also don't like the shape of their pointy shoes. it's not pointy enough. and they're more expensive than solea. so anyhoo, i'll probably schedule another appointment next week. this afternoon, schmuck and i already ordered our wedding rings from tita emily. yahooooo! we gave our downpayment already, and she said we can have our rings by saturday. wow, that's fast!!! i can't wait to get them! and wear them!!! heehee! tita emily will also engrave our names already on the rings, and we're going to have "SCHMUCKS 04.30.05" engraved on ours. hehehe! hmmm, now that all of the major stuff are done, what do we do next? on our immediate to-do list: make maps for the invites find an embossing seal for the invites buy glue sticks (a better...meaning cheaper...alternative to wax sticks) find materials for the missalette it's time to sweat the small stuff! bring it on!!! |
